In today’s climate of uncertainty regarding the job market, it makes sense to have an up-to-date, recession-proofed, professionally prepared Résumé at the ready. Most of my clients already have jobs and are seeking promotion or career change. Others have been made redundant and are urgently seeking work. Still others are returning to the workforce after a career break due perhaps to parenting or early retirement and are seeking employment, often part-time, to supplement the family income or maybe retirement is just way more boring than expected!
Gone are the days when you stayed in the same job from when you left school till retirement – it is now the exception rather than the “rule”. And part-time work suits many people, giving them the freedom to pursue perhaps an income-producing leisure activity or hobby…
I have clients ranging from school-leavers to those in their 60’s wishing to find meaningful work. Part-time work is often the answer – it’s better than no work! And there have been times in my own past work experience, where I undertook part-time work and through high performance and marketing skills, I have been able to increase the productivity of an organisation and gradually increased my hours to nearly full-time. This is not always possible though, so I think anyone entering part-time work is better not to have this as their agenda or expectation…
Should you require a professional, personalised Résumé or CV (there’s really no difference these days – just semantics!), I can assist you create a 3 dimensional marketing tool which will help you to stand out from the crowd!
